We are pleased to announce that Augustine of Hippo’s great work, The Confessions, has been translated into Tamil and Sinhala. The preliminary translation may now be found on the South Asia Lutheran Mission webpages.

In this deeply personal and inspirational autobiography, Saint Augustine (354-430) recounts his childhood, struggles with temptation, and the story of his conversion.

We hope this translation will benefit all Tamil and Sinhalese Christians in their own journey of faith.
