Mr Richard Townes III stepped down as treasurer, and was replaced by Rev. William Traphagan, in March this year. The excellent records kept by Richard, as well as the experience and training brought by Rev. Traphagan, meant that this was a very smooth transition. At the time of the transition, Richard had already prepared everything needed for SALM to file tax statements for 2022, which are now submitted, with the help of a professional tax preparer.

We welcome William Traphagan to the SALM board and to his new position as treasurer. Pastor Traphagan currently serves Mission of the Cross Lutheran Church, Crosslake, Minnesota. He graduated from Concordia University, Nebraska, with a BS in business administration, and a BA in theology in 2010, and subsequently received his MDiv from Concordia Theological Seminary, Fort Wayne, in 2014. He married Stephanie in 2011, with whom he has four adorable children. 

Thank you to Pastor Traphagan for willingly and energetically taking up his duties as part of the SALM team, and a HUGE thank you to Richard, for serving as treasurer for the first year of SALM, for seeing us through the foundation of the organization, and our successfully becoming a 501(c)(3)!
